Hand dyeing with rose petals is a multi step process from garden to scarf. It takes 36 roses and several days to create a single scarf and every scarf is unique in the way in which it takes on colour. Variations in colour, even within a scarf, are normal and contribute to the distinct appeal of each hand dyed scarf.
This scarf is 8” wide x 54” long. It is made from a plain weave silk. The hems have been hand stitched. This scarf was hand dyed by me in my smoke free home using red roses from my garden.
You may wash this scarf by hand, in cold water, with a gentle detergent. Do not wash with any other items. Squeeze to remove excess water. Do not wring it out. Press dry with an iron on the silk setting on top of a plain weave pressing cloth. You may also hang this scarf to dry.
